BDD02 - DUNGEON MONSTERS
Sculpted by Michael & Alan Perry, Bob Naismith, Jez Goodwin. Box art by John Blanche.
Figures painted by Sascha Herm.
This boxed set contained 11 figures designed to provide a novice DM with a selection of basic low-level D&D monsters. Note that these figures were sculpted with integral metal shields instead of the crappy plastic ones supplied with the later blister pack range.

Figure 1, Fire Beetle I.
This is the first of a pair of Fire Beetles. This one has his body raised upwards at the rear.

Figure 2, Fire Beetle II.
This model is pretty similar to the other Fire Beetle, but it's body lies flat to the ground.

Figure 3, Giant Rat I.
The first of two Giant Rat miniatures in the set, this one looks like it's warily creeping forwards. See ADD61 for more Giant Rats.

Figure 4, Giant Rat II.
This is the second Giant Rat, sitting back on it's haunches, ready to pounce. See ADD61 for more Giant Rats.

Figure 5, Stirge.
This is a Stirge, a hideous blood-sucking bat-like creature. See ADD76 for more Stirges.

Figure 6, Giant Toad.
This is a Giant Toad, a nice model originally cast with a solid metal base rather than a slotta-tab.

Figure 7, Kobold.
This is a pretty weedy looking Kobold, not really of the same standard to the packs later produced under the code ADD51.

Figure 8, Skeleton.
This is a very nicely sculpted Skeleton, standing in a menacing pose, armed with a longsword and a battered shield.

Figure 9, Orc.
This is an Orc, armed with a polearm and a wooden shield. See ADD53 for more Orcs.

Figure 10, Gnoll.
This Gnoll is armed with a polearm and a spiked shield, and wears battered scale and leather armour. Although a nice figure, he is smaller than the Gnolls produced under the ADD55 code.

Figure 11, Bugbear.
This Bugbear wields a spiked wooden club and a long, notched knife. He wears tattered remnants of scavenged armour and again is smaller and less bulky than the Bugbears later released under the ADD56 code.
